Frequently asked questions about Madagascar eSIM

Is there coverage at the Avenue of the Baobabs (Morondava)?
Yes. Morondava has 4G from Orange and Telma. The Avenue of the Baobabs (20 min from Morondava) is covered — popular for sunset photos. The RN8 road from Antsirabe to Morondava (long and dusty) has village coverage but some rural stretches have weak signal.
Does the eSIM work in lemur parks (Andasibe, Ranomafana)?
Yes at entrances and tourist villages. Andasibe (Indri, largest lemurs) and Ranomafana (golden bamboo lemur) have 4G at main lodges. Night treks for aye-aye lemurs can have weak signal under dense canopy but some stretches are covered.
Is there 5G in Madagascar?
Orange and Telma launched 5G in Antananarivo from 2023. Coverage still limited to central Tana zones and some suburbs. For visitors the 4G+ network is plenty (30-100 Mbps typical in cities). Outside Tana it's 4G only.
